Overview
This two-acre syndicate lake is set in the beautiful countryside of Alresford just outside of Colchester, Essex. With just six swims, hidden from the pressures of life, the tranquillity of this lake is food for the soul and promotes a sense of serenity. Last stocked 30 years ago it remained untouched by anglers, naturally maturing, inaccessible in parts until 2021 when an agreement was reached for anglers to cast into its mysterious waters. Giving great consideration to the natural feel of the lake, six swims were created with the addition of stunning hand crafted signs depicting the individual names for each swim. As per the five year plan in January 2021 the stocking programme began, carefully managed and photographed the extra fish were introduced and fed on pellet until spring. Syndicate members are vetted by management prior to joining and given the nature and size of the venue numbers are restricted making the syndicate pretty exclusive. It is anticipated that there will be a waiting list for those who wish to join should a member leave. The syndicate is run by Andy Partridge and Rusty Russell, a friendly and helpful pair, who love the lake for its natural beauty and serenity. They have worked hard to transform the previously unfished lake into the personal fishery that is now is. All members must clock in/out when on the lake, to ensure the safety and security of anglers and the landowners alike. This also benefits members, as upon joining they are given an account on this website, where they can view the live status of the lake to see which swims are unoccupied. Membership numbers are kept to a minimum to keep foot fall low and to preserve the tranquillity Brook Farm has to offer.
